So Crafty Saturday: Sandpaper and Yarn Art

Although we actually did this craft awhile back, I wanted to go ahead and post about it.  It was such an easy thing to do with the kids and they loved it.  Here are the instructions:

Materials
  • Coarse sandpaper
  • Yarn in various colors
Directions
  1. Cut various colors of yarn into different lengths.
  2. Show your toddler how the yarn sticks to the sandpaper.
  3. She will enjoy creating a design, pulling it off, and starting over again.

My kids had so much fun especially with the yarn and earlier that week we were working on a lesson that involved  different textiles, so this activity fit right in.  I think I'm going to get some page protectors with a sticky back so that I can keep their yarn art for their craft box.
